The Flag of Saudi Arabia

The flag of Saudi Arabia has changed many times. Before the current flag has decorated Arabic words and sword, it had a white crescent with a green background. The Saudi Government used the current flag formally in 1973. The designer of current flag was Hafed Wahbah who was the Ambassador of the King Abdul Aziz in Egypt. The flag of Saudi Arabia is considered holy due to Islamic declaration of faith that is called "Shahadah." The meaning of "Shahadah" is "There is no gad but (Allah), Mohammed is the messenger of god (Allah)." Wherefore, the flag is not used on clothes or any kind of items. It shows the Islamic rule of the country. Also, the sword, which is on the flag, shows the force of traditional weapon. Finally, it is only the flag that represents the Islamic nation.
